As part of the activities organized by the NOUS project, the workshop ‘Merging Cloud, Edge and Quantum in cross-border innovation: The cornerstone of Europe’s new digital era‘ will take place on 22 May 2024.
In an online format, the workshop aims to analyze the important aspects of Cloud, Edge, and Quantum in cross-border innovation, their proper development, and efficient operation.
At the meeting, the three central points governing this project will be explained in detail: computational components, edge computing, and storage. These aspects are studied individually to achieve significant advancements in this field. The synergy derived from their combination is also analyzed, as it creates an end-to-end cloud architecture and services that will facilitate efficient processing of massive amounts of data in Europe.
After the detailed presentation of the project, it will conclude with the creation of an interactive mural summarizing the main guidelines guiding the actions to be taken in this stage, aimed at consolidating computational and data storage resources. Additionally, at the end, participants will have time to ask questions arising from the presentation.
The European project “A catalyst for EuropeaN ClOUd Services in the era of data spaces, high-performance and Edge computing” (NOUS) was launched in January 2024 and features a strong alliance between 21 partners from 11 European countries.
This initiative is projected to provide cloud infrastructure and platform as a service, specifically focused on decentralization. The effectiveness of this project will be measured based on its implementation in four use cases that will allow testing these technologies in real-world situations.
