The NOUS project is hosting an online workshop, “NOUS & Beyond: Building Bridges Across Data Spaces,” on 17 December 2025 (12:00 – 13:30 CET) to address Europe’s digital sovereignty through advanced cloud and edge technologies.
Key Highlights:
- Preliminary Results: The event will unveil initial findings from the NOUS project, emphasizing the need for developing and disseminating advanced cloud technologies.
- White Paper Promotion: The first of two white papers will be promoted, detailing the architectural blueprints for connecting disparate data spaces, crucial for the EU’s data strategy. This architecture ensures sensitive data processing at the edge while utilizing cloud power.
- Use Case Pilots: Preliminary data from four real-world use cases will be presented across smart manufacturing, smart mobility and logistics, aerospace and critical systems, and scientific computing.
- Sister Projects Roundtable: A discussion will take place with representatives from other Horizon Europe cognitive computing continuum initiatives to identify synergies and collaboration opportunities.
- Goal: The workshop serves as a critical checkpoint for NOUS’s mission to create a decentralized, “European Cloud” architecture, bringing together consortium members from 11 countries and external experts.
