The ARCTUR team recently made a significant impact at the Ansys Technology Day held in Brnik, near Ljubljana, where they showcased the cutting-edge developments of the NOUS project. As a key player in the high-performance computing (HPC) and research sector, ARCTUR utilized the event to demonstrate how the NOUS project leverages advanced simulation and digital twin technologies to optimize industrial processes.
The AIR Institute team took center stage at the Gaia-X Hub Spain event to showcase the pivotal role of the NOUS project in shaping the future of the European data landscape. During the sessions, the team illustrated how NOUS directly contributes to the creation of interoperable and secure data ecosystems that are meticulously aligned with the core Gaia-X principles. By emphasizing the project’s decentralized architecture, the AIR Institute experts demonstrated that NOUS represents a significant leap toward a robust data economy built on the pillars of trust, sovereignty, and seamless collaboration between diverse organizations.
The Eclipse Foundation team prominently featured the NOUS project during the Open Community Experience (OCX) conference – the Foundation’s flagship event – held at The EGG in Brussels from April 21-23, 2026. Representing the project within the “Open Community for Research” track, the team showcased NOUS as a cornerstone of European cloud sovereignty, designed to bridge the gap between edge computing and high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructures. Through interactive sessions and a dedicated project booth, the Eclipse experts illustrated how NOUS provides an open-source, vendor-neutral framework for managing data spaces and decentralized computational flows.
At the Austrian-Slovenian HPC Meeting 2026 (ASHPC26), held at TU Wien in Vienna from April 8–10, the ARCTUR team presented the latest milestones of the NOUS project to a specialized audience of supercomputing experts and researchers. Representing a bridge between the Austrian and Slovenian HPC ecosystems, ARCTUR showcased how NOUS integrates high-performance computing with edge-to-cloud orchestration to solve complex industrial challenges. The team highlighted the project’s ability to streamline high-volume data processing and decentralized computational flows, fostering closer regional cooperation in the development of sovereign European cloud infrastructures.
The F6S team represented the NOUS project at the Digital Transformation Summit (DTSummit) in Funchal, Madeira. Operating from a dedicated innovation booth and participating in collaborative workshops, the F6S experts highlighted how NOUS serves as a vital bridge for startups and SMEs looking to access sovereign European cloud and edge computing resources. The team emphasized the project’s role in democratizing high-performance technology, enabling smaller organizations to participate in secure, interoperable data ecosystems without the burden of vendor lock-in. By engaging with policymakers and industry leaders at the summit, F6S reinforced the mission of NOUS to scale digital innovations – particularly in the transition toward a trusted data economy – ensuring that cutting-edge research translates into practical, market-ready solutions for the broader European innovation community.
Stay tuned – a lot is more to come!
